TX: San Antonio & Austin

Last week, Chris and I visited my sister who made the move from NJ to San Antonio, Texas about a year ago! It was so great seeing her, my brother in law and my two baby nephews.

We arrived at about 11 PM on Wednesday night and went straight to In N Out from the airport. I will not say how many burgers Chris ate (it was a lot) but I did good! Only ate half of one :)

On Thursday, we spent the entire day in downtown San Antonio at the Riverwalk and we love it there! It's so romantic and everyone around is just so nice. That day was Cinco de Mayo so naturally, we headed to Rio Rio which had amazing guac and margaritas. Also, it was my sister's one year anniversary in Texas so more reasons to celebrate!

Friday we spent the day shopping at the San Marcos outlet. Omg, it's literally heaven on earth. I scored the best things for such good prices! Hm let's see- a Kate Spade wallet and clutch, Lululemon tank, J Crew coverup, and a few other things and I swear it was all under $150. I love a good sale!! After our little shopping sesh, we had dinner at my aunt's back in San Antonio and spent time with some of our relatives.

For our last full day, Saturday, we made sure to really get the most out of our day. First activity of the day was a visit to The Natural Bridge Wildlife Ranch in New Braunfels. Matthew, my 2 year old nephew, absolutely loves animals so we had to make a stop. He was so excited and named every single animal we saw! Then, we drove straight to Austin (thanks to my brother-in-law for driving us everywhere!) to have dinner at The Oasis at Lake Travis. It was breathtakingly beautiful!!!
